FEEEQUITY NOW

Together we rise and together we write

FEEEQUITY was a temporary campaign of and for thesis writing MA students enrolled in the Peace and Conflict Studies program at the University of Innsbruck, that started in winter term 2023/2024 and continued for the summer term 2024.

When writing their thesis, non-EU students are required to pay a tuition fee of 749,42 EUR per term (incl. the ÖH fee), while EU students are exempt from this payment. The Peace Studies Fund offered a way to bridge this inequality by sharing the tuition fee 50:50 between two. The financial burden for some was thus a communal effort for all thesis writers.

How did FEEEQUITY work?

You are enrolled in the Master program, writing your thesis and do not pay tuition fee?

Thank you for considering to share our communal financial burden. Think of it, as if the University is asking the amount of 374,71 EUR from you. Which ways would you find to raise this money?

Participate in FEEEQUITY by transferring 50% of the tuition fee – which is 374,71 EUR latest until 28. February 2024 to the Peace Studies Fund bank account. Please add as designated use “FEEEQUITY – Giving”. The Fund will combine your share with the share of someone, who is obliged to pay tuition fee in order to continue the MA Program.

As it is a voluntary share, there is e.g. the possibility to ask your peers if you want to do it together and split the money amongst you. Because each share counts.

Please note: We only can give shares as long as money is sufficient. In case we receive more shares than needed, this money will be used to support students, presumably in the following academic year.

You are enrolled in the Master program, writing your thesis, you have to pay tuition fee and no scholarship that supports you?

Thank you for putting trust in our community. As the Peace Studies Fund we cannot transfer money to individuals, but to the institution of the University only. Therefore, we ask you to also transfer half of a tuition fee – 374,71 EUR – to our account and to fill out this form, so that we have all the details to transfer the full tuition fee in your name directly to the University of Innsbruck.

Please transfer the sum of 374,71 € latest until 28. February 2024 to the Peace Studies Fund bank account and add as designated use “FEEEQUITY – Receiving”. We will combine your share with the share of someone, who is exempt from paying tuition fee and participates in FEEEQUITY.
